Dana Point Earth/Ocean Society

Dana Point Harbor two girls at water's edge

A clean earth and a healthy ocean. These two are directly connected, and the best thing we can do for future generations is to teach our children well. We want to help teach our children and inspire people of all ages to carefully steward the earth and the ocean.

A clean earth leads to a healthy ocean. Why? Because that's what watersheds do: they move water from the land to the ocean. Water picks up everything in its path, and carries it to the ocean. So, a clean path to the ocean means a clean ocean, and a clean ocean means a healthy earth.

Fifth graders from RH Dana Elementary School
participate in picking up trash throughout Dana Point
at the first annual Neighborhood Clean Up Day, April, 2005.

The Earth/Ocean Society creates and supports opportunities to learn about the delicate balance between the earth and the ocean through:

  • Hands-on beach and watershed cleaning events
  • Scholarships to fund participation in local ocean quality education programs like the world-class Ocean Institute
  • Smokers outposts program
  • Watershed education

Please join in the effort. Join the Dana Point Earth/Ocean Society now. Your membership funds these programs. You can also volunteer time or donate supplies to any of the programs run by this group. Please step up and join in. It's fun, uplifting and healthy.
